Married in 1917 to Lily Kopman: has two children. SUSSER, Samuel Zelick. Retired Businessman. Born Latvia 21st October, 1885; son of Chaim Yehuda Leib and Sarah Susser. Educated in Latvia. Came to South Africa 1903. Director: Van Park Investments (Pty.) Ltd. and West Wits Township (Pty.) Ltd. Previously was book- keeper and proprietor of a furniture store. Active Freemason. One of the founders of the United Hebrew Institutions of Krugersdorp and served on its Council continuously since 1908. Treasurer for 23 years and President since 1952. Secretary Order of David, Krugersdorp of the Hebrew Order Lodge, in early years. Former Secretary, Reditze United Benevolent Society. Member, Kadimah Country Club and Krugersdorp Bowling Club. During World War II was in the National Volunteer Brigade. Married Lily Kopman, 1917; two daughters. Recreation: Bowls. Add.: 7, Alberma, 55 Burger Street, Krugersdorp.
