Educated at Potchefstroom Boys' High School and University of the Witwatersrand. Director of Harolds-Pats Organisation, Potchefstroom. Chairman of Lichtenburg Hebrew Congregation, succeeding his father (who was Chairman from 1924-1953) in 1954. Member of Stewardby Bowling Club. Member of Rotary and a Mason. During World War II served with the South African Forces. Married Mary Herr, 1940; two daughters. Add.: 17 Burger Street; P.O. Box 41, Lichtenburg.
