BERMAN, Barney. General Dealer. Born Rokiskis, Lithuania,
1903, son of Edel and Cipora Berman. Came to South Africa 1926. Educated at
Dvinsk, Latvia (Torgovaia Shkola). Married 17th June, 1930; wife's name, Bella;
three sons. Served in the Lithuanian Army before arriving in South Africa.

Barley Investments (Pty) Ltd., Van Gogh Investments (Pty.) Ltd., Centurian
Investments (Pty.) Ltd. Previously with Station Pharmacy (Pty) Ltd. Member of
Menorah Progressive Jewish Congregation. Member, Wingate Park Country Club,
Pretoria. Married Sybil Joyce Bernstein 13th May, 1945; one son, one daughter.
