Was Chairman of Students' Zionist Association, University of Witwatersrand, 1952; was first Chairman, Federation of Student Zion- ist and Jewish Associations of Universities of South Africa and Convener of their first conference, 1952. Member, Beaconsfield Country Club and Emmarentia Tennis Club. Married Lorna Jacobson, 14th Febru- ary, 1954; two sons, two daughters. Recreations: tennis, swimming, gardening.
