SACKS, Chaim. Director of Companies. Born Kovno, Lithuania, 8th August, 1895, son of the late Rabbi Zvi Yehuda and Rachel Michla Kuselewitz. Educated in Novardok, Mir, Radin, Slabodke and Lomsze Yeshivot and received "Smicha" as a pupil of Rabbi Itzele Ponievezer and Rabbi Rephael of Wolozin. Came to South Africa 1928. Chairman of the S.A. Zionist Socialist Party, 1937-40; Executive member, S.A. Zionist Federation and Histadrut Ivrith, 1937-40. Married Malka Ginnes, 1924; two sons. Recreation: Fishing.
