KATZ. Claude Werner. Director. Born in Germany, 19th August, 1921, son of Hugo and Else Katz. Educated at Hohenzollern College of Careers, Germany, and in South Africa. Came to South Africa 23rd January, 1936. Director and manager of a number of companies. Previously held position in accountancy and general business administration. During World War II, served with South African forces in Italy, Sicily, North Africa, with the rank of Sergeant. Committee member of the Mountain Club of South Africa. Married Betty Sonnenberg 15th September, 1954; two sons, two daughters. Add.: Daarbo, Orange Street, Newlands, Cape Town.
