Furniture Ltd. and Volks Furniture Stores (Pty.) Ltd. Director, Plywoods Ltd. and Veneered Plywoods Ltd. During World War II served on Timber Control. War supplies section of the Furniture Industry. Chairman Transvaal Furniture Manufacturers Association for 15 years and National President for many years. Member, Houghton Golf Club. Married Lottie Smith 27th March, 1917; two sons, one daughter. Secretary, Vice-Chairman and Chairman (1947-48) of now defunct Scopus Club, Cape Town. During World War II served in Coast Defence Corps (Armoured Cars), and participated in entertainment of troops.
