WAPNICK, Nathan. Merchant. Deceased. Born Valkemir, Lithuania, son of Samuel and Fage Riva Wapnick. Came to South Africa 1913. Educated in Valkemir. Managing director, Wapnick Stores (Pty.) Ltd. and Wapcourt (Pty.) Ltd. Served on Kraaifontein Municipal Council for many years, and was member of the first Village Management Board. Married Rebecca Bloch, 1925; one son, one daughter.
