Committee member, Cape Jewish Board of Guardians, 1942-1960; committee member Sea Point Talmud Torah, 1943-1958. Member of Green and Sea Point Hebrew Congregation, Cape Jewish Orphanage, Cape Jewish Aged Home, Magen David Adom and Dorshei Zion. Member of Lodge Goodwill, Member of Royal Arch Chapter and Mark Master Mason. Member of Stadium Bowling Club. Married Hinda Arenson 27th May 1928; two sons, one daughter.
