son of Charles and Johanna Segall. Educated at Selborne College, East London.
Past President and currently Trustee of the East London Hebrew Congregation and
a member of the Committee since 1943. Vice-chairman, Border Regional Council of
the S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies. Vice-President, Border Rugby Union; past
President, Border Cricket Union; President, Old Selbornian Rugby Club; Chairman,
Clarendon Prep. School Committee. Vice-President, Sports Advisory Board to the
East London Municipality. During World War II served in Coastal Defence Corps.
