SHEVELEW, Hyman Raphael. B.A. (Hons.). Lecturer. Born Cape Town 10th December 1938, son of Jack and Doris Shevelew. Educated at South Africa College School and Universities of Cape Town and Witwatersrand. Lecturer in Political Science and Public Administration at University of South Africa 1961-4. Winner Fulbright-Hayes Grant for Doctoral Study at the Graduate School of International Studies, Denver, Colorado. Ford Foundation Expanded Teaching Programme Fellow. Currently Visiting Assistant Professor in Political Science in the University of California at Santa Barbara.
