SMITH, Louis. Retired General Dealer. Born Lithuania 16th March, 1889, son of Israel Nochum and Rachel Smith. Came to South Africa 1907. Educated in Lithuania and South Africa. Has been variously Treasurer, Vice-President, President and Council member of Berea Hebrew Congregation. Married 1927; one son, two daughters. Add.: 31, Raleigh Street Yeoville, Johannesburg.
