Committee member, East London Jewish Helping hand since 1956; executive member, Hebrew Order of David, Rev. Chaim Katz Lodge since 1965. Member, East London Hebrew Congregation. Member, Alexander Country Club. Served with South African Forces during World War II in East and North African campaigns; prisoner of war, 1941- 1945.
