Chairman, Society for the Jewish Handicapped 1963-65, Vice-Chairman 1961-63, Treasurer 1958-61 and 1965-67. Founder member and Treasurer of Eastern Cape Zionist Youth Executive, Hebrew Congregation 1935-39. Member, United Hebrew (Yeoville Synagogue), Bikkur Cholim, Chevra Kadisha, Transvaal Jewish Welfare Council. Official Umpire, S.A. Lawn Tennis Association and S. Tvl. Lawn Tennis Association. Represented Port Elizabeth in hockey, 1934. Married Phyllis Solomon, 23rd May, 1943; one son, one daughter. Add.: 35 Tropicana, 26 St. George's Street, Yeoville, Johannesburg.
