RUBIN, Michael, Dip.Pharm. (S.A.). Pharmacist. Born Port Elizabeth, 13th September, 1926; son of Isaac and Sarah Rubin. Educated at Grey High School, P.E., Durban Technical College and Rhodes University, Grahamstown. Managing Director, Lake Pharmacy (Pty.) Ltd., Chairman, S.A. Retail Chemists & Druggists' Association, Cape Midlands branch (1961-65); member, national committee of S.A. Retail Chemists and Druggists' Association since 1962; Secretary, Cape Midlands Branch of S.A. Pharmaceutical Society since 1966; local Director of Chembine, subsidiary of S.A.R.C.D.A. Member, P.E. Hebrew Congregation, P.E. United Hebrew Institutions and committee member of P.E. Jewish Scout Troop. Vice-Chairman, Hebrew School Committee since 1967. Member, Wedgwood Park Country Club. Has contributed articles on retail pharmacy to trade magazines. Married Bernice Proctor, 9th March, 1952; two sons, one daughter. Recreations: Bowls, golf and swimming.
