Educated at Gymnasium, Berlin, and Universities of Berlin, Freiburg, Kiel and Witwatersrand. Practising 10 years as Advocate on the Appellation Court at Frankfurt-Main. Came to South Africa 1935. After qualifying here as Chartered Accountant, became Secretary of the Weil & Aschheim Group, from which he retired after 20 years. Co-founder of our Parents Home (1939), Co-ounder of Independent Cultural Association (1936), Co-founder and Hon. Life Vice-President of Johannesburg Speechmasters Club (1948); Co-founder, Immigrants Research Committee (1963). Married Eugenie Wunderlich, 1929. Recreations: Horse riding, swimming, poetry.
