Educated at South African College School and University of Cape Town, Committee member, Parow Hebrew Congregations, 1950-1965. President, Parow Rotary Club. Former President, Northern Areas Division, Medical Association; Executive member of Parow Council, 1950-1954. Member, King David Country Club. Served with South African Forces during World War II, 19th Field Ambulance, as Company Commander, Acting Major; saw service in Madagascar, Egypt, Italy.
