Executive committee member, Council for the Care of Cripples, and chairman of various sub- committees. Founder and committee member of first Executive Committee of Temple Emanuel, United Progressive Jewish Congregation, Johannesburg. Author of a number of medical publications in journals and books in South Africa, England and America. Member, Wanderers Club, Glendower Club, Emmarentia Sailing Club. Served in S.A.M C. during Second World War, attached to units Up North and in South Africa. Married Miss H G. Margo, 1st February, 1945; one son, one daughter.
