SAGOV, Alexander. Director of Companies. Born Dwinsk, Latvia, 15th December, 1895; son of Simon and Zelda Sagov. Educated in Latvia. Came to South Africa, 1929. Chairman and Managing Director of Alexander Sagov Holdings Ltd. and subsidiary companies. Member of the Green and Sea Point Hebrew Congregation and various Jewish welfare organisations. Served in Latvia as a City Councillor, Trustee of Jewish Commercial Bank and a member of the Jewish Board of Deputies in Dwinsk from 1924-1929. War Service in Russia, 1918-1920.
