LEWIS, Chaim. B.A. (Hons.). Editor of the "Zionist Record." Born in London, son of Abraham and Hannah Lewis. Educated at University College, London. Came to South Africa in 1964 to assume his present post. Was formerly a lecturer at the Teachers' Training College, London; Headmaster of a Jewish Day School in London; Editor of the "Jewish Review," London; a columnist in the London "Jewish Chronicle," a frequent contributor to the British Press and a writer of features for the B.B.C. Overseas Service. Author of "A Soho Address" (Victor Gollancz, London) 1965. Married Ada, daughter of Rabbi Hirsch Ferber, of London, and has one daughter.
