LISON, Zalman Aaron. Business Executive. Born Ponevez, Lithuania, 11th July, 1910; son of Rabbi Samuel Tzvi and Yenta Lison. Educated at Yeshivot of Ponevez and Slabodka. Came to South Africa 1930. Formerly was Principal, Hebrew Section, Oudtshoorn Hebrew School for five years; also Principal, Wynberg Hebrew School (Cape) for five years. Member of United Hebrew Institutions, Oudtshoorn and B'nai B'rith. Regular contributor to Hebrew Journal Barkai. Lecturer in English, Hebrew and Yiddish on Jewish subjects.
