Council Member, United Hebrew Institutions of Bloemfontein, since 1960; Member, O.F.S. Committee of the S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies since 1963 (Vice-Chairman, 1965); Chairman, S.A. Jewish Ex- Service League, 1964; Member, O.F.S. and Northern Cape Zionist Council, 1965; Committee Member, B'nai B'rith, 1963. Chairman, Combined Ex-Service League, Bloemfontein, 1965. Member, Schoolman Park Golf Club. Served with South African Air Force during World War II. Married Hannah Weitzman, December 1950; two sons, one daughter. Recreation: Golf.
