Born Cape Town, 1st July, 1921, son of Albert and Daisy Mendelsohn, Educated at Sea Point Boys' High School. Director of Mendelsohn's Jewellers (Pty.) Ltd. Member, Cape Town Reform Jewish Congregation. Was on Active Service with South African Forces during World War II. Member of the Crusader Memorial Sports Club. Rayner Prize winner for 1958 Gem Exams.
