Past President of the United Progressive Jewish Congregation of Johannesburg. Past President of the Bet El Jewish Congregation of Johannesburg. Vice- Chairman of the South African Union for Progressive Judaism 1967; member, Communal Relations and General Purposes Committees, South African Jewish Board of Deputies, since 1961. Past President of the Master Builders and Allied Trades Association (Witwatersrand); member of the National Federation of Building Trade Employers in South Africa. Member, Melrose Bowling Club.
