During Second World War served with S.A.A.F. as lieutenant; was observer- navigator with 12 and 28 Squadrons, S.A.A.F. Chairman, Contract Bridge Council of Southern Africa; Executive member of the World Bridge Federation. Chairman, Johannesburg Bridge Club. Married Hilda Lewin, one daughter.
