MYERS, Alec. Hotelier. Born Novogrodek, White Russia, 17th March, 1908; son of David and Chana Myers. Came to South Africa 1925. Educated in Russia and at Paarl Boys' High School. Has been in hotel business for forty years. Runs the Commercial and Mutual Hotels in Paarl. Member of Paarl Hebrew Congregation. During World War II served with South African Forces, infantry and air force. Married Rebecca Klitzner, 6th February, 1940; three sons, one daughter. Add.: Commercial Hotel, Paarl.
