MYERSON, Louis. Retired Merchant. Born Borovka, Latvia, 1897; son of Jacob and Nechame Etel Myerson. Came to South Africa 1912. Director of L. and P. Myerson (Pty.) Ltd., Paarl, Cape and Sondar Estate (Pty.) Ltd., Worcester, Cape. Committee member, Paarl Hebrew Congregation for fifteen years; served as Chairman, 1960-61; Chairman, Paarl Chevra Kadisha for fifteen years. Member, De Doorns Village Management Board, 1936-1948. Member, Paarl Bowling Club. During World War II was in National Reserve Volunteer Brigade and Police Reserve, both in Worcester. Married Pearl Goss, 16th June, 1929; one son, two daughters.
