NORMAN, Harry. Sales Representative. Born Mezerkiai,
Lithuania, 3rd October, 1907; son of Alter and Rachel Norman. Educated in
Lithuania and Russia. Came to South Africa, 1927. Senior sales representative
for L. K. Hurwitz & Son Ltd. Member, Sydenham- Highlands North Hebrew
Congregation, on which he has held the following positions: Committee member,
1958-59; Trustee, 1960-63; Treasurer, 1964-65; Vice- Chairman, 1966; President,
1967. Member Hampton Tennis Club, Fairmount Tennis Club, M.O.T.H. Club and is
S.A. tennis umpire. During World War II served up north with South African 8th
Army and was awarded commendations. Married Pauline Kaplan 16th September,
