ORR, Ivan. M.B., B.Ch. (Rand), Dip. O. & G. (Rand), M.R.C.O.G. (Lond.) Gynaecologist. Born Standerton 10th April 1916, son of Jacob and Sarah Orr. Educated at Standerton and Witwatersrand University. Was on the staff of the following London Hospitals: Chelsea Hospital for Women, Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital. Consultant Gynaecologist to the Germiston Hospital and to the Queen Victoria Hospital, Johannesburg. Gynaecologist to the Germiston Municipality. During World War II served as Medical Officer with the South African Medical Corps 1940-46, in South Africa, Egypt and Italy. At the end of war, rank of War-Substantive Captain.
