Educated at Kremenchug (Ukraine) High School, Kiev Dramatic Studio, Ponivez Yeshivah and the Universities of Kiev and Berlin. Came to South Africa 1927. Director of M. Beinkinstadt, Cape Town. Previously was teacher, lecturer and Journalist. Active in Histadruth Ivrith; Poalei Zion; Chairman, Yiddish Cultural Federation; Chairman, Ponivezer Landsmannschaft.
