KIRSCH, Ernest Lewis. M.B., Ch.B. Medical Practitioner. Born Cape Town 28th February, 1922, son of Joseph and Josephine Kirsch. Educated at Sea Point Boys' High School and University of Cape Town. President, Green and Sea Point Hebrew Congregation, 1963-1964 and 1964-1965. Member of Stadium Bowling Club. During World War II, served with Cape Town Highlanders, 1940; was taken prisoner of war in Italy, 1941-43. Married Sonia Jaffe 16th December, 1947; one son, two daughters.
