Treasurer, De Aar Hebrew Congregation, 1949, 1950; President De Aar Hebrew Congregation, 1950-1955. Foundation member, King David Country Club, Cape Town and Glen Country Club, Camps Bay. Served with Home Guard. De Aar, during Second World War. Recreations: Golf and bowls. Married Hannah Weinrich 11th January, 1944; two daughters.
