KOVES, Gabriella Rose. Business Executive and Author. Born Vienna 4th November, 1912, daughter of Karl Lucke and Czuckermandl Rose. Educated in High Schools in Vienna and Budapest. Came to South Africa 1951. Proprietor of G.K. Hosiery, Cape Town. During World War II served in the N.K.V.D. (Security) Section of the Russian Army against the Nazis in Hungary. After the war, helped in tracing war criminals in Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia. Has told the story of her war experiences in her book "Red Snow," published under the pen-name Gabriella Rose.
