KRAMER. Michael Sherman. M.B., B.Ch., D.A. (Rand), As.S.B. St. John. Specialist Anaesthetist. Born Bloemfontein, 16th October, 1920, son of Leo and Mimie Kramer, Educated at St. Andrews School, University College of O.F.S. and University of the Witwatersrand. Honorary Anaesthetist to St. John's Ophthalmic Hospital, Hamlet Home for Retarded Children, Basutoland Medical Service, Coronation, Baragwanath and Johannesburg General Hospitals. Previously part-time Senior Anaesthetist, Transvaal Memorial Hospital for Children. Treasurer of the Southern Transvaal Branch Council of the Medical Association; President, South African Society of Anaesthetists; former Chairman and Secretary, Transvaal Branch, S.A. Society of Anaesthetists; founder, South African College of Physicians and Surgeons. Member, Temple Emanuel, Johannesburg. Vice-President, University of the Witwatersrand Rugby Football Club. Member, S.A. Ornithological Society. Served with South African Forces in World War II, M.O., Training Ambulance, 25th Field Ambulance. Contributor to numerous medical publications.
