Educated at Athlone Boys' High School, Johannesburg, and University of the Witwatersrand. Council member, United Hebrew Institutions of Bloemfontein, 1965-66; office-bearer in Hebrew Order of David Lodge; Committee member, Nursery School Society. Member of architectural team which won the Johannesburg Civic Centre competition. Member, Bloemfontein Ramblers. Married Valerie Conn, 3rd May, 1958; one son, two daughters.
