Educated at Grey College, Bloemfontein, and Natal Technical College. Director of Barney's Trading Co. (Pty) Ltd. Previously was Branch Manager of Abbott's Laboratories. Member, O.F.S. and Northern Cape Zionist Council, 1961-1965. Bakoach, Orange Free State Habonim, 1951-53; Chairman, Jewish Guild, 1958; member of the Orange Free State Committee of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies, 1958-60; Chairman, Jewish Youth Council, 1960-62; Council member, United Hebrew Institutions, Bloemfontein, 1960-61, 1964-65; member of Hebrew Order of David Committee since 1959.
