Winner of Grant-Smith Gold Medal, 1941, final year dentistry. Member, Green and Sea Point Hebrew Congregation. Member, Lodge of Israel (Masonic) and Crusader Shellhole (M.O.T.H.S.). Dale Carnegie Course Instructor since 1956. Member, Management Committee, Glen Country Club, 1959-1964, and Vice-President, 1961-1962. Glen Country Club bowls champion, 1959. During World War II served with 19th and 20th Field Ambulance attached to Sixth S.A. Armoured Division, rank of Captain. Married Hannah Katz, 16th December, 1946; two sons, one daughter.
