Educated at Krugersdorp High School and Witwatersrand University. Executive member, S.A. Board of Jewish Education; Chairman, Sydenham- Highlands North Hebrew Congregation, 1947-49; Chairman of the Education Department of this Congregation, 1949-64; delegate to Board of Deputies, 1958-64. Executive member, United Zionist Revisionist Party, 1946-49; Chairman, National Party Houghton divisional committee; former Chairman, Killarney branch of National Party, 1962-64; only South African Jew appointed by Government as a Republican Agent in the Referendum of 1961. Hon. Legal Adviser, Suicides Anonymous. During World War II served G.S.C. 1940-44, legal officer, Wit. Command, 1941-44. Married Dora Bloomberg, 1936; one son.
