HODENBERG, Guenther-Emil. Merchant. Born Holzminden, Germany, 14th April, 1909, son of Hermann and Henny Hodenberg. Educated at Gymnasium, Holzminden. Came to South Africa, 1936. Proprietor of Novel Shoe Store, De Aar. President of the De Aar Hebrew Congregation for more than ten years; Country-Community Member, S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies, Director of Rotary International (De Aar), member of many Charitable Institutions; member, De Aar Country Club (Bowls). Served in World War II as Sergeant in the N.V.R.
