HOHENSTEIN, Olga. Retired. Born in Hamburg, Germany, 9th October, 1891, daughter of Max and Alice Eisenmann. Educated in Hamburg. Came to South Africa 1936. Was secretary of Etz Chaim Hebrew Congregation, Johannesburg, for eight years, and an active member of the B'nai B'rith Lodge Sisterhood; represented B'nai B'rith Women's Chapter on the South African Jewish Board of Deputies. United Nations Convener of the Business and Professional Women's Club. Married the late Dr. Adolf Hohenstein, 1925: he was Polizei-President in Kassel, 1925- 33.
