JOSEFOWITZ, Samuel Judel. Minister. Born Rakishock, Lithuania, December, 1888; son of Joshua Gessel and Sarah Leah Josefowitz. Educated at Dvinsk Yeshiva, Vitenberg. Came to South Africa 1913 Minister to Robertson Hebrew Congregation since 1922. Previously with Zastron Hebrew Congregation and Laingsburg Hebrew Congregation. Chairman, Robertson Zionist Association since 1924. Married the late Rosie Gittel Gaffen, April, 1911; one son, one daughter. Add.: Hope Street, P.O. Box 15, Robertson.
