KATZ, Abram. Hotelier and Director of Companies. Born Grodno, Poland, 10th May, 1924, son of Yossel and Yudes Katz. Came to South Africa 29th June, 1931. Educated at Observatory Junior and High School, Cape Town. Formerly Director of Superior Plumbing Works, on the Executive of Transvaal Amateur Swimming Association and Water Polo Board of Control. Executive member, Southern Transvaal Maccabi Association. Member of Observatory Golf Club, Johannesburg Municipal Swimming Club. Married Cynthia Katz 15th December, 1957; two sons.
