KAVALSKY, Benjamin. Director of Companies. Born Pusalotas, Lithuania, 30th January, 1920, son of Morris and Chana Kavalsky. Came to South Africa 1932. Educated at Plumstead Primary School and Wynberg Boys' High School. Vice-President, Wynberg Hebrew Congregation. Member of Maccabi, Magen David Adom, Sons of Israel, Member of Keurboom Sports Club. Served with South African Forces during World War II in Second Coast Garrison Battalion, 1942, and 24th Battalion, S.A.C.D.C. 1943. Married Lily Stein, 19th June, 1949; three daughters.
