Active communal worker for many years in Jewish Women's Benevolent Society, Johannesburg, Chevra Kadisha, S.A. Jewish Orphanage, Jewish Society for the Deaf, Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home and other organisations. Married Dr. Benjamin Bessarabia, 1943.
