GINSBERG, Henry Charles. Farmer and Director of Companies. Born Clanwilliam 12th March, 1913, son of Benjamin and Bertha Ginsberg. Educated at South African College School, Cape Town. Managing Director B. Ginsberg; Caspa Tea & Coffee Co. Ltd.; Rooibosch Tea Development (Pty.) Ltd.; Marlborough Property (Pty.) Ltd.; H. C. Ginsberg Farming; L. H. Boshoff Investments (Pty) Ltd. Chairman, Rooibos Tea Packers Association; Rooibos Tea Control Board; member, Co-ordinating Committee of Agricultural Control Boards (Advertising). Executive member, Cape Chamber of Industries. Pioneer of Rooibos distribution in South Africa and experimental discoveries related to planting and opening of new agricultural areas for Rooibos tea, vines, citrus and indigenous pine trees. During World War II was commissioned officer in the Infantry. Twice mentioned in dispatches. Member, King David, Keurboom and Glen Country Clubs, Cape Town; Hamiltons R.F.C. and Clanwilliam R.F.C.
