And various associated companies. Member of local Advisory Committee of Standard General Insurance Co. Member of the Economic Committee of Durban Chamber of Commerce. Vice-Chairman of Natal Creditors' Protection Ass. Ltd. Member of the Business Panel of National Development and Management Foundation. Was Chairman of the Durban Young Israel Society, S.A. Jewish Ex-Service League, Zionist Council for Natal. Is member of Executive and Council of the Zionist Council, Hon. Vice-President of the Council of Natal Jewry (served as President, 1961-62) and a member of the Executive. Chairman of the Jewish Education Council. Was Hon. President of the Israel United Appeal and United Communal Fund at various times, and was Hon. Vice-President of the Durban Zionist Association. Member of Durban Jewish Club and Circle Bowling Club. Joined the R.D.L.I. during the Second World War, attached to Third Brigade HQ and later to Second Division HQ. Married Audrey Francis Pels, 1940; three daughters. Add.: 372, Manning Road, P.O.
