Has for many years been connected with the Israel United Appeal in the Western Province and is Chairman of the Israel United Appeal Committee; Trustee and former Chairman United Hebrew Schools, Cape Town; of the United Trustee of the Cape Hebrew Teachers' Pension Fund. Past Chairman of the S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies (Cape Committee). Married Germaine Silberman, 1920; one son, one daughter. Add.: "Beaulieu," Coniston Road, Rondebosch, C.P.
