Educated at the Germiston Central School and Germiston High School. Wholesale Provision Merchant. Director, Terminus Buildings (Pty.) Ltd. and Briley Court (Pty.) Ltd. Secretary to the United Hebrew Institutions of Germiston for 12 years (1939-53). Member of the Kensington Hebrew Congregation, Friends of the Israel Maritime League, Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home, Johannesburg Jewish Helping Hand and Burial Society; was member of the Germiston Men's Hockey Club.
