Educated at St. Peter's School and Wesley College, Dublin. Manager of Anchor Bay Pharmacy, Cape Town. Previously conducted own pharmacy in Cape Town, 1932-58. Served as member of Civilian Protective Services during Second World War. Married Eva Heller, 1932; two sons. Recreation: Classical music.
