Educated at Sea Point Boys' High School and Jeppe High School, Johannesburg. Served with the S.A.A.F. in Middle East, North Africa and Italy during Second World War. Past President of the Sir Herbert Samuel Lodge, Springs, Hebrew Order of David. Past Commodore and Honorary Life Member of East Rand Yacht Club. Secretary Appeals Committee South African Yacht Racing Association. Formerly practised Law in Springs, now Secretary of Foschini Limited, Cape Town. Recreation: yachting.
